Apart from these above formats, VLC 2.0 can support a lot of additional Input features, Subtitle/Tag formats, A/V outputs, A/V filters, Interfaces and other additional formats. It’s a huge step in the right direction though, and the main reason that it’s not fully supported just yet is because of the amount of work that has gone into the core rendering engines. Video outputs have been added, and older ones rewritten, now supporting better GPU optimisation and multi-threaded decoding for HD content.
In one simple world, VLC 2.0 is a universal player which can play anything. VLC 2.0 is more stable and will crash very less if you compare it with the previous versions.

Thumbs up for VLC. I just wish I could use it on my TV. While the build in media player (panasonic) is already quit good and plays most stuff out of the box, there’s still the occasional file that won’t play (also the file format is supported). Back to desktop, fire up VLC é voilá…it’s playing. Always has and always will be…
I am using VLC player for long time. I can play all types audio & video with it. I don’t know that it has updated version. Thanks for share

yep tried new vlc and must say its really is good and improved its qualty but not use it coz my service center say that its a third party product and we cant give you gaurantee for this if any thing happen to your sound system
Excellent post. I have been using VLC for many years and it is nice to see that blu ray is now supported. Didnt know about the Mac version to be fair off to get that now!
VLC 2.0 have awesome features introduced, In which they introduced which kind of voice you want to hear eg: headphone, soft or rock..

VLC is much more fun unlike Windows Media player. Its differences can definitely define that its better among the rest. I really like using VLC for it is more high volume than the others.Thanks for the post!
This is great, i’ve been a vlc user for almost 3 years and all i can say that this is the best media player for my windows.
I have used VLC early versions but after I found Gomplayer is better for DVD. But thanks to you I found VLC 2.0 new version and enjoying the life. You are right it play every thing.
